Jake
Today I am remembering Jake, my cute blond-haired happy nephew who passed away in November. It may seem cliche to say that this heart-baby was the closest to Christ-like that I've ever heard about, but I really think he was. My brother and sister-in-law said that despite all the poking and prodding and surgeries he went through, he rarely cried. He was content and uncomplaining. The one time that I got to see him awake, if I made eye contact with him he was all ecstatic smiles. And that was the way he was with everyone. His short life has become a testimony to those who got to be even a long distance part of it, that life is precious, life can be happy despite challenges, and that life continues on after this one where we can live as families forever. I'm really grateful for that little boy.

I love this. Beautiful.
A fitting tribute to the little boy we all loved.
Very well said. Jake is an enormous blessing to all of us.
