The Tee-Pee

Well he did it.  Spouse-the-Industrious left on a business trip last Friday and was supposed to be gone until this Saturday.  At 3:09 p.m. today I looked out our front window and there he was walking up the sidewalk with his BYU shirt and a smile on.  I've been waiting seven years and all sorts of anniversaries and birthdays for him to surprise me by coming home early.  It was as exciting as I'd always imagined it would be.

In other news the stomach flu has made a cozy little nest in our house.  Sidekick Sister has been ailing ever since she got imprisoned in her cast.  The Little Linebacker has come violently in and out of his episodes over the same time period.  Baby Girl will even give off a great diaper every now and again.  The bright spot in all of this is Captain K who has shown some real intestinal fortitude in fending the whole thing off.

But all of this is to say that I really think the tee-pee would be an awesome home.

Say you live in a typical American house.  And then say your family comes down with the stomach flu real bad.  You've shined up bottoms, you've hand mopped floors, you've repeatedly put sheets and towels through the hot cycle in your washer, you put all expelled body wastes in the outside trash, and still your house smells like a poop factory.  You scratch your head.  You think real hard.  But the only other thing you can think to do to get rid of the malodor is to burn your whole house down and start over.

Now say you live in a tee-pee and your family comes down with the stomach flu.  You've already got the advantage of fantastic ventilation.  But add to that the fact that you can take the whole contraption down, move up wind where the stink don't shine, and start all over again, now that is what I call living.
