A snippet

It's been a big day. It all started out to be a big day and then got bigger. I'd tell you all about it except it's past midnight now. But here's a couple of things.

Thing 1: Coming down the elevator at the hospital yesterday we met a 14 year old girl who has something similar to Sidekick Sister. The girl's mom was the nice person I mentioned yesterday who said the process wasn't as bad as it looked. Well today she proved to be even nicer. She came up to the OR waiting room with drinks and snacks for us and gave us more good insider information. It was way beyond being a nice person - to the degree of being a super-nice person I think.

Thing 2: Seeing your child vulnerable or in pain totally and completely stinks...totally...and completely.

P.S. Thanks for the prayers, I believe Heavenly Father is listening. And if I might ask, please pray hard that Sidekick Sister's hip will heal well.  My whole heart never wanted anything so bad.

Oh, JessicaP, how my heart aches for you. You are so right, there is nothing more difficult than seeing your child in pain. You and your little girl are most assuredly in my prayers.

What tender mercies the Lord has already extended to you in the kindness of one who's been where you are, how thoughtful of your new found friend to come and give comfort at a time when you needed it most.

I must ask, are you there alone or did spouse-who-loves-his-family get to come up there for the surgery?

Spouse-on-the-spot got to be there with me, thank goodness. Again, thanks for your prayers!

P.S. to all - Sorry for the quick, sloppiness. It was late, it was on the iPhone - I need say no more I suppose.
