So yesterday for a brief few hours I posted a youtube video that a BYU fan put together of the miracle game against USU last week where Riley Nelson took the QB reins from Jake Heaps and brought us a win. It was called "Ode to Riley Nelson's Hair." Riley Nelson has a magnificent mane of unhonor-code- ish golden locks; we call him Sunshine around here. The video showed him taking his helmet off and shaking out his hair and then played a clip from Shrek of the prince taking the helmet off of his head, tearing off his hairnet and shaking out his hair. I'm pretty sure Riley Nelson must have been the model the animators built that prince off of.
Anyhow, about the time I was saying my prayers last night I decided I couldn't keep my link to the youtube video on here anymore. My concience was killing me. But it had nothing to do with the hair, it had everything to do with Jake Heaps. While I was laughing at the multiple runs of the hands through Nelson's hair, my husband pointed out how the video showed Heaps' bumbled passes, Heaps' inability to get his mouth guard through his face mask on the side-lines, and Heaps' getting shoved out of the way when Riley Nelson got the final winning touchdown. It broke my heart for the guy. I didn't want to spread something around that might make him feel bad.
I told my husband this and he said, "Awww, it'll be good for him. It'll build his character."
Mars and Venus folks. Mars and Venus.

you, my friend, have a kind soul. bravo.
I wondered what happened to it. I watched it on my ipod while I was getting Hugh down for the night and then tried to come back later to show Marc and it was gone. On my little screen I wasn't able to see what they were showing of Heaps... but, I definitely agree with your hilarious assessment from this situation of the differences between men and women. I also agree with your friend v - you do have a kind soul!
