Conscience

So this morning while I was talking to the husband on Skype, #2 and #3 got in a spat over by the piano.  I told a crying #2 who had been taunting #3 that she was taller than him, that if she said unkind words to #3, he was most likely going to respond by slapping down the pain.  As I was lecturing along, an other worldly voice echoed through the room, "#2, be nice to your brother."  I giggled.  #2 didn't think it was as funny.

Then I pulled #3 over and told him that hitting wasn't nice and that he needed to use words when his sister was saying things he didn't like.  Again my reprimand was interrupted by an unseen voice.  "#3 be nice to your sister."  I giggled again - this time harder.

I think Skype hooked into the TV with no picture could be our new form of conscience for our kids.  If nothing else, it will amuse the dickens out of me.  And everyone knows the worth of a happy Momma.
