Creation

Here are my early bloomers.

It's enough to make you think the world is an ok place, isn't it?

I only have a few of these and they are scattered willy-nilly through my weedy garden area.  They aren't anything you can see from the road, and not anything that folks who walk up to the front door even notice.  But they bring me so much doggone joy - loads and lots and pounds of joy.

It is kind of rad to put something in the ground and then, after months and months, see it come up and look pretty.  It's not quite as good as seeing your kid do something cute, but it could kind of be a metaphor for that feeling.

Creating is such a warm, happy, satisfying pursuit (except for the part where you have to dig in really hard dirt and through rocks - but that can be forgotten about quickly enough).
