Studying
I didn't like studying in the library when I was in college. I mean, who wants to fall asleep reading at a study carrol when they could fall asleep reading in the comfort of their own bed. I feel like I reverted to that girl last night. I was reading a book about Thomas Jefferson while I was feeding the baby in a glider chair when I looked over at my bed and thought, "well now that looks like the perfect place to get a good, serious read." The baby had finished eating so I cuddled her next to where I stretched myself out to study my book. Three minutes later we were both out. That left the husband to do the nighttime routine with the other kids and tuck them in bed. Then he came and got baby girl and put her in her crib. Then he finished off by waking me up enough to get me in my covers and he tucked me in too. It really made me think. And I think I shoulda gotten married much earlier in college. How much more comfortable would it have been to have somebody who would tuck me in when I was doing all that hard core studying and paper writing? Live and learn I guess.
