Ruminating

In the sixth grade I did a report on cows. The two things I remember about what I wrote are that I told udderly too many unclever udder jokes and that cows have four mini-stomachs in their real stomach, one of which is called the rumen. I was fascinated, udderly, by the idea of a stomach compartment that allowed a cow to regurgitate a meal that didn't go down quite right. To think there was a creature that could casually chew food twice or more to please a demanding stomach was udder-worldly. For a cow, no swallow is final.
So in that spirit, I hope you understand. No blog post here is final either, so don't blame me if one or two posts isn't udderly perfect. I'm ruminating. What may look like rambling is honest to goodness, intestinally-pacifying rumination. If you aren't pleased with one entry, come back in a few weeks and see if I made it better or if you still just want to throw up. If you still just want to throw up, that's ok - well with me anyway.

I can honestly say I have never heard a cow stomach analogy before, and that's why your blog is going to be the best one there is!
